I love practical books and this is definitely a practical book on ADD. Instead of pathologizing ADD, Michael's approach is to maximize the gifts of ADD. I love the book. I also love his tracking sheet and other strategies including exercise to work with ADD. Super important. The book is very detailed. Also, you can use the book as a reference and pick and choose sections that directly apply to you.
No CREDIBLE study has said that sugar is adtictive or as addictive as cocaine. Marcy Evan Rd brings great research about that. Also sugar does not cause diabetes. It’s more complicated than that. Check out Michelle Mays work in that.That said if you are not recovering or well recovers from an eating disorder and gave adhd, this book could be helpful.They also mention that you will lose weight following their food plan. Again, you might but if you are at all disorders in your eating and want to be sane around food, be very careful with the food and weight loss statements in this book.
