I finished this book last night. I'm a fan of the Jenkins family series and have read every single book. I was not diappointed. Every Jenkins has different qualities and characteristics.I loved the story of Rayne and Jerry and how & where this story began. However, I think Stormy stole the lead in their story. She was just adorable. I think Stormy was the central/main factorin getting her mommy and Jerry (daddy) together.The saying "and the children shall lead" is definitely true in this story. She lead both the adults into a life of love.What a wonderfully written story about 2 people from totally different backgrounds who learn to trust and then find love. Sometimes it takes a tragedy and along with the push of others, to realize what blessings you have been given. Jerry didn't judge Rayne and accepted her as she was, knowing Stormy was a benefit to the love love that soon developed.Keep doing you and congratulations on another knock out Jenkins book.
If you've read the Jenkins & Sons Construction series, you like me have been waiting for Jerry's story. Let's just start off top with Sharon wrote the heck out of this story. Like she literary made you feel every emotion. What you love most is that Family is just not a noun but it's an action. From the siblings to the parents.But let's get to Jerry and Rayne's story. Can we say compassion, passion, determination, willingness and respect. Jerry is what we all know to be turn. A man can be many things to many women but when he's found the one, he'll never let her go. From his understanding nature to Rayne's past. To the love he shows Stormy. Which has down endeared me to him. Jerry is growth goals.Rayne is the epitome of overcomer. She is strong and loving. Remembering her troubled relationships had you feeling empathetic. Her relationship with her daughter shows that one doesn't have to repeat mistakes.The sub characters especially Violet, Jerry's mom added that link of retalatability that is often overlooked.You'll enjoy this story. It's a page turned. From a strong family to love that knows no boundaries. You'll smile throughout.Great job Sharon.
This was a great read that drew you in from the very beginning. The storyline was so real and explored so many circumstances, trials and tribulations that women of color often face. Rayne went through so much at the hands of a lousy husband, but during her struggles she stayed focused and was a dedicated/loving mother to Stormy. Rayne just needed a break and she got it with Jerry Jenkins. Jerry was a one of a kind man that was determined to show Rayne that all men were not like her husband. With patience and determination, he won. Lastly, Stormy was so precious. I just fell in love with her. She literally stole the show! I love Sharon Cooper and have read all of her books... keep 'em coming Ms. Cooper
Sharon you have done it again with Lessons On Love. The love story between Rayne, Stormy and Jerry was wobderful. Rayne was a woman hurt and best down by life and a cheating no good husband she needed th love of Jerry Jenkins and the Jenkins clan in the worst way. Stormy was simply the sweetest thing ever, and Jerry's mother Violet was absolutely amazing. Jerry grew from the spoiled baby of the family to a grown man taking care of and providing for a family. Each Jenkins story gets better and better, not sure how you do it Sharon but keep the stories coming.5 âââââ review all the way.
I enjoyed Rayne and Jerry’s story. Rayne’s daughter was definitely a bonus. The author’s creativity grabbed my attention early and the characters overcoming their baggage took me through a full range of emotions. I think I may have enjoyed Jerry’s relationship with Stormy most. And I’ve always enjoyed the Jenkins family. Ready for Charlee’s story.
I really enjoyed the love story of Jerry, Rayne, and Stormy. Jerry was a reformed player. Once he decided no other woman would do and he set his radar for Rayne. It was a wrap. Rayne has a young daughter and Jerry knew they were a package deal. Rayne was pretty sure she would never trust or love another man again after the betrayal she suffered from her deceased husband. She found that she was bent not broken. Jerry showed her how a woman should be treated when a man loves a woman. I would recommend this book and in my opinion you want be disappointed. A great love story.
Rayne and Jerry's story was very sweet. Rayne grew up in foster care, married the wrong man and life simply has not been easy. Enters Jerry Jenkins, he is everything she needs, but she doesn't want to chance a broken heart again. However, Jerry is determine that the single mom and her daughter are meant to share a lifetime together. I love seeing Jerry breakdown Rayne's defense's and her surrendering to the love that she never thought she would have.
I could only say his name because he sounds like a delightful piece of chocolate. Add to his maturity and love shining for Rayne and Stormy.Overall the Jenkns family books have all been great and the lives through all of them. However this story touched me as Rayne never thought positively about her self and life but Jerry and his family changed this for her!Sharon has done it again with the fun and loving Jenkins!
